Volunteer Programs

Our volunteer programs are tailored to provide a balance between meaningful work, personal growth, and adventure. Volunteers can stay from 1 week to 12 months, contributing to both conservation and community initiatives. Activities include:

Farm Work & Maintenance

Help with general upkeep, including fencing repair and farm management.

Horse Interaction & Care

Community Upliftment Projects

Support sustainable initiatives like market gardening, safe water delivery, and educating communities about wildlife conservation.

Anti-Poaching Efforts

Play a role in the fight against poaching, working closely with rangers and learning the ropes of K9 dog handling.

Wildlife & Conservation

Our reserve is home to an array of wildlife, from large predators to graceful herbivores. Volunteers play a crucial role in monitoring these animals, ensuring their safety, and contributing to research projects. Some of the wildlife you may encounter includes:

large African wildlife

In the wild, you may encounter elusive leopards, intelligent elephants, and fearless honey badgers. Leopards are skilled hunters, elephants are known for their social bonds, and honey badgers surprise with their tenacity. Each animal offers a unique glimpse into nature’s diversity.

Ungulates

Zebras, giraffes, kudus, and elands are distinctive African herbivores that shape their ecosystems. Zebras graze in herds, giraffes browse treetops with their towering necks, kudus blend into woodlands with their striped coats, and elands, the largest antelopes, showcase strength and agility. Together, they add to the diversity and balance of the African plains.

Medium-Sized African Mammals

Monkeys, baboons, klipspringers, and bushbucks are versatile African animals, each thriving in unique habitats. Social monkeys and baboons forage in troops, klipspringers navigate rocky areas with agility, and bushbucks, known for their striking coats, prefer dense cover. Each showcases the adaptability of African wildlife.

In addition to these majestic creatures, you’ll support our anti-poaching efforts, working alongside a K9 unit to protect the reserve from illegal hunting activities. This is your chance to gain practical skills in wildlife conservation while making a lasting impact.
